My name is Shawn Standefer. I defended my PhD in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh in August of 2013. My dissertation was titled “Truth, Semantic Closure, and Conditionals” and my advisor was Anil Gupta. This year I’m a visiting lecturer in the philosophy department. My  interests within philosophy are currently: theories of truth, philosophical logic, philosophy of language , philosophy of science,  and the history of philosophy (Frege, Quine, Davidson, Carnap, Kant, early and late flavors of Wittgenstein).
